Our team at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital is a group of highly trained cat lovers who are dedicated to their jobs. We love learning everything we can about the veterinary field to give all patients the care they deserve.
Our team also treats all patients as if they were our own. All pets that come through the door get plenty of love and attention so they can stay healthy. When they are ill, our staff makes it our goal to get them back to health as soon as possible.

Annelise Lankarge, a Veterinary Assistant at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital, has been dedicated to caring for cats since 2020. Annelise’s academic journey led her through Central Connecticut State University, where she studied Psychology, and Tunxis Community College, where she completed a Veterinary Certificate Program.
Annelise prides herself on her meticulous attention to detail when caring for the cats entrusted to her. She goes beyond ensuring their physical safety, prioritizing their emotional well-being to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. Annelise’s passion for animal behavior, particularly that of cats, drives her commitment to providing the best possible care.
In her free time, Annelise enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved Siberian Husky/American Eskimo mix, Lumi. She also finds joy in traveling and expanding her knowledge through new experiences.

Courtney has been working in veterinary medicine for the last four years and is currently attending Penn Foster. She prides herself on returning to the field of work she’s passionate about and her work family here after years on a different path. She also loves supporting and listening to clients from a personal viewpoint.
In her free time, she loves reading, gardening, and spending time with her pets and family.

Certified Veterinary Technician
Amanda Mason, a dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital, brings four years of experience in veterinary medicine, with less than a year spent at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital. Her compassionate approach to patient care is evident in her work.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut and Northwestern Connecticut Community College, Amanda’s educational background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary for her role.
Amanda takes pride in her ability to connect with each patient, taking the time to discover their unique traits and personality. Her genuine love for animals shines through in her dedication to their well-being.
In her free time, Amanda is an avid sports fan, particularly supporting Boston teams. She enjoys staying active through running and volunteering with Protectors of Animals. Most importantly, Amanda cherishes spending quality time with her friends and family.

Emily Cratty, a Veterinary Technician and Nutritional Counselor at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital, has been dedicated to veterinary medicine for 11 years. Emily’s educational journey took her to Northwestern Connecticut Community College, where she earned her degree in Veterinary Technology.
Emily prides herself on her compassion for her patients and her ability to relate to her clients. She understands the importance of simple gestures, such as a compassionate look and an understanding demeanor, in providing comfort and support to both pets and their owners.
In her free time, Emily indulges her passion for reading, often immersing herself in books. She also enjoys baking and staying active through running.

Veterinary Assistant
Amy Joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2017. She earned her Certificate in Veterinary Assisting from Asnuntuck Community College.
She has one cat at home (Bandit) but also loves horses and hopes to own a dog one day. Amy just loves all animals but cats are her favorite. She also enjoys spending time outside and relaxing with friends and family.

Technician
Sabrina joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2005. She earned Associate’s Degrees in both Animal Care and Veterinary Technology from Becker College. Sabrina has three cats (Rowan, Gunther, and Phoebe) and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Meara). She enjoys reading, going to movies, and hiking with her dogs. When on their hiking adventures, Sabrina and her dogs have the gift of finding stray kitties in need.

With 23 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Jennifer Wieloch serves as the Lead Technician at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital. Her journey began after graduating from Northern Illinois University, where she cultivated the skills necessary for her career.
Jennifer takes pride in her role in educating clients and empowering owners to provide the best care for their pets at home. Her dedication to patient well-being extends beyond the hospital walls, making a lasting impact on the lives of both pets and their families.
In her free time, Jennifer embraces the outdoors with enthusiasm. Whether she’s gardening, bird watching, kayaking, hiking, or camping with her husband and rescue German Shepherd Boris, Jennifer finds joy and solace in nature. Her adventurous spirit and love for animals are evident in both her professional and personal pursuits.

With a wealth of experience since 1997, Melissa Johnson brings her warm demeanor and dedication to client care to Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital. Her education at Middlesex Community College laid the groundwork for her career.
Since joining Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital in 2022, Melissa has prioritized listening to clients and ensuring they and their feline companions feel welcome.

Sam worked as a DVM assistant at an emergency veterinary clinic for over 10 years before joining Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital in 2019. He brought this wealth of experience to Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital, where he continues to provide invaluable insights into patient care and client communication.
Sam’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from CCSU, with a focus on Spanish and Biology, as well as a DVM Assistant Certificate. This combination of academic knowledge and practical experience equips Sam with the skills needed to excel in his role.
What sets Sam apart is his unwavering dedication to being an animal advocate and providing pet owners with educated information to promote well-being and care. He takes pride in ensuring that every pet receives the attention and support they deserve.
In his free time, Sam enjoys outdoor activities and attending sporting events. He shares his life with a beloved 12-year-old Chihuahua mix named Chulo, who brings joy and companionship into his home.

Jennifer Roy is the dedicated Client Care Team Lead at Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital. Since joining the team in 2006, Jennifer has been a vital part of ensuring exceptional service and care for both patients and pet owners.
Jennifer’s educational journey led her through Central CT State University and Gateway Community College, where she gained the skills necessary to excel in her role.
What truly sets Jennifer apart is her commitment to the well-being of every furry companion and their human family members. Jennifer takes immense pride in her role within an exceptional veterinary team that prioritizes the care and well-being of both patients and pet owners alike.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys live music and attending summer concerts with her husband and friends. She also finds solace in spending time at the beach, going for long walks and hikes, and cherishing moments with family and friends. At home, Jennifer is entertained by her two cats, Bennett and Gilbert, who bring endless joy and companionship into her life.
Shannon L., CVPM
Practice Manager
Shannon has been an invaluable part of the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team for over 16 years. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1991.
Having earned her Associate Degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College, Shannon’s expertise extends beyond patient care. As a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager since August 2013, she ensures the hospital operates seamlessly, always prioritizing the well-being of both pets and their owners.
Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Shannon was honored as “Practice Manager of the Year” by the Veterinary Management Council of Connecticut in November 2014. Her dedication to excellence sets the standard for the hospital’s compassionate approach to veterinary care.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Shannon finds joy in spending time with her husband, Michael, and their five children. Their household is lively with the presence of two rescued kitties, Neil and Tank, along with two rescued dogs, Daisy Mae and Rigley, and a flock of free-range chickens. In her rare moments of relaxation, Shannon enjoys crocheting and leisurely walks, cherishing the moments of tranquility amidst her bustling family life.
Dr. Katie McClaine
DVM
Dr. Katie McClaine joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2003. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the State University of New York (Buffalo) and her veterinary degree from Cornell University.
She is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network.
Dr. McClaine has a cat (Colin) and a dog (Pippa). She enjoys playing the bassoon for the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra, exercising, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Dr. Zach Bradley
DVM
Dr. Zach Bradley joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2023. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Connecticut and his veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota.
He is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Bradley has three cats at home (Tofu, Gary, and Billy). In his free time, he enjoys writing music with his wife, eating great food, and playing games of all types!
Dr. Laurie Hester
DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Laurie Hester joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2005. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Southern Illinois University and her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois. She is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network.
Dr. Hester has five cats (Louie, Oliver, Poe, Zelda, and Mabel). She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, reading, and crocheting.
Dr. Carly Haining
DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Haining joined the Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital team in 2020. She is a Connecticut native and completed her undergraduate studies at UConn in Storrs and her veterinary degree at The University of London, Royal Veterinary College. She worked as a general small animal veterinarian in Greater London for 3 years and then in a feline-exclusive practice for 4 years before joining Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital. She completed a certification in feline behavior, which is one of her passions. She is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network.
Dr. Haining enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 boys, and her cats, Machrie, Eevee, and Bacon. She also enjoys reading and traveling.
Dr. Diana Lafer
DVM, Founder
Dr. Diana Lafer founded Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital in 1995. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Wesleyan University and her veterinary degree from Cornell University.
She is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, The American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Information Network, and is a member of the Cat-Friendly Practice Advisory Council. She is a board member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Dr. Lafer has a dog (Ned). She enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and her two adult daughters, horseback riding, skiing, hiking, scuba diving, and playing bass guitar.
