Dr. Diana Lafer founded Cats Limited in 1995. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Wesleyan University and her veterinary degree from Cornell University.

She is a member of several veterinary organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, The American Animal Hospital Association, The International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, The American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Information Network, and is a member of the Cat-Friendly Practice Advisory Council. She is a board member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Lafer is also a member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford,

Dr. Lafer has a dog (Ned) and two cats, Albert and Dallas. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters, horseback riding, skiing, hiking, scuba diving and playing bass guitar.
